A standard BOP includes two core coverages — General Liability, which covers third-party bodily injury and property damage claims, and Commercial Property, which covers your building, equipment, and inventory. Most BOPs also include Business Interruption coverage, which pays your lost income if a covered event forces you to temporarily close.
BOPs are designed for small to mid-sized businesses. Most carriers look at your industry, revenue, number of employees, and building size to determine eligibility. Not all industries qualify — higher-risk businesses like contractors or manufacturers may need separate policies instead. We'll let you know if a BOP is the right fit for your business.
General Liability only covers third-party injury and property damage claims. A BOP includes General Liability plus Commercial Property coverage and Business Interruption — all in one policy at a bundled rate. If you have a physical location or business property to protect, a BOP is usually the better value.
No — a BOP doesn't include Workers' Compensation or Employment Practices Liability. Employee injuries require a separate Workers' Comp policy, which is required by Florida law for most businesses with employees.
Most small businesses pay between $500–$3,000 per year depending on your industry, revenue, location, and property value. Because it bundles multiple coverages, a BOP is almost always cheaper than buying General Liability and Commercial Property separately. Get a free quote and we'll find you the best rate.
